Pasta Pomodoro, SF

Grabbed a quick meal here, always a cute place. So annoyed at myself 'cause I even remembered to bring the camera this time, and forgot to take pics!! Not a real food-blogger, I'm not, LOL. Anyway, very good, usual better-than-fast-food Italian. Pasta Pomodoro's location on College is cute too. The location at Union City kinda sucks sometimes.

Had the Polenta Farcita - polenta broiled with fontina, spinach, brown butter and sage (descriptions straight from menu). Love this dish. Also the Cozze - steamed mussels with white wine, herbs, garlic and butter. Tasty, but the mussels were a little small. Hubby had the Gemelli with smoked and grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and cream. Very tasty.

Bit irritating that we ended up at a 30 min parking spot, but just a block away. Worked for the meal, but didn't feel like trying our luck again, so missed our usual cafe. Ended up at Union Square, went to Scala's Bistro for a quick break. Grunginess as before, plus the fan must not have been working, cause the place was full of cooking smoke. Still like it a lot.
