Lime Tree, San Francisco
Laksa. First time tasting this dish, so nothing to compare. Really rich, thick soup, full of coconut-ty goodness, tender but firm noodles, shrimp and fish cakes, which I'm not a fan of, but worked well in the soup. We asked for them to omit the sprouts (me no likey).
Beef Rendang. Again, new dish, no comparison reference. Thick boiled or braised chunks of chuck cut meat with some gristle, but was sooooo tender it cut apart with a fork. Tons of fried garlic, as you can see! YUMMY!!
