Hog Island Again, Ferry Building, SF

Fine. I lied about not going back. Just really wanted some oysters, and there you go. Definitely NOT returning after this visit, though. Snotty attitude-y service just grates too much. Did that whole long standing and waiting again, and after seating the three just in front of us, the grey-haired bespectacled asshole looked at us, then deliberately walked off to the back and started furiously punching stuff into the screen the entire time. NEVER CAME BACK. Felt deliberate. From what I read on Yelp, this asshole often does this. Recognizing this as SOP, we just flagged the next waiter down, and pointed to where we were going to sit. ONLY THEN did the asshole unglue himself from the computer. WTF?

Why'd we go back? Well, we like patronizing local, sustainable and organic businesses, and I wasn't positive it wasn't an off service day. Now I'm positive - they're a bunch of snotty assholes. They really act like they're doing you a favor by serving you. It's really pathetic seeing that they're in a tourist area shilling down-home food. Not even Mina's or the Dining Room has that attitude, and they're several classes above.

Food: We got a dozen oysters, the grilled cheese again (will go make it myself), and tried out the clam chowder. It was good, fresh clams, thin but creamy and somewhat salty broth. None of the food is the I-can't-get-this-anywhere-else kind. So we won't be missing anything by never returning.
