Beautiful upscale dining room, muted, sophisticated natural color scheme. Dressier attire preferred, but a few other people in sweaters and jeans like me. Attentive waitstaff. They write on their website that they're "an elegant blend of Southeast Asian flavors and European influences." Right on the dot. Delicious food. Ordered a sake instead of the usual wine, excellent selection - light, smooth, mildly sweet.

Started with 2 appetizer sampler plates. Artfully presented. Deep-fried egg rolls, imperial Viet rolls, crab cakes (3 dipping sauces). Salmon, hamachi and tuna sashimi. Squid and seaweed salad. That was so much food, I was already stuffed. But we'd already ordered entrees.

Two of our party got the walnut prawns, which looked delicious, very lightly coated, and a good take on the Chinese dish. The other person got the miso salmon, which was very simply prepared, and pronounced delicious. I tried the tamarind amberjack, which was very good, excellent sauce, fried shaved onion rings. Only mild annoyance was that I'd asked how the dish was prepared, and she never said it was deep-fried, which I dislike. But very sweet solid fish, tasty.

No room for dessert, but sounded great too.
