Plearn Thai, Berkeley

Found beautiful parking spot on University right across from restaurant, plus 20 mins bonus on meter.

Same place, no changes in last 15 yrs. Not necessarily good decor-wise, but good food-wise. Anyway, love Lunch #13, the Pat-Ke-Mao - Spicy-hot fried rice-noodles, cabbage, bell pepper, tomato, and egg, in Thai spices and oyster sauce, with chicken. Total w/ Thai iced tea was $9.+ and $3 tip. Not spicy at all, though.

Half full, unlike the old days when there was always a wait for lunch. Usual friendly service, prompt until the end. Funny, the guy came right back to package the leftovers, but forgot all about the bill. Even when I got to the counter, he started to say, "Have a good day..." before he saw my wallet out.
