Akaihana, Hayward

Think this'll be my last visit here. I've been visiting a couple times a month for the last few months, and the food seems headed steadily downhill. The sushi is really horrible, noticeably very un-fresh. Today I could barely eat it. The waitresses are still ok. Except today, they charged me the dinner rate for the lunch rate, and I got the weird feeling it was deliberate, since she didn't seem surprised at all when I pointed it out.

I see signs for $1 sushi, which is a bad thing. They're really struggling. Doesn't seem like they're putting their limited capital to good use either. The worse thing to do is to cut corners on the food if things aren't going well.
